Why professionals still don’t trust AI and AI agents despite growing adoption – YouGov study

Pegasystems Inc. (Pega) recently published the results of a new research exploring how workers feel about agentic AI. The joint research published with YouGov surveyed over 2,100 US and UK professionals who use digital devices for their jobs. The research defined 'AI agents' as software programs or tools powered by artificial intelligence that can assist with various tasks, such as generating content, analyzing data, automating repetitive processes, or providing recommendations. According to the research, even though a majority of workers (57%) have shown interest in using AI agents at work, others remain cautious, expressing significant concerns about reliability and quality. The study highlights the ongoing skepticism among professionals regarding the trustworthiness of AI agents, despite their growing adoption in various industries.
